I fell in love with Seattle the first time I was here (in 2004) but this summer I just can't wait to get out of here! The problem is I can't tell what caused it. Work has been good, I had a pretty focused internship, but yet I feel like I wasted an entire summer!

While I am in complaining mode, I'd like to add that there is absolutely nothing more frustrating than talking to someone who just doesn't get the point you are trying to make.  For instance, while eating peanut butter sandwich I say, "Ummm, I am going to marry the guy who invented peanut butter!" To that the response is "Is the guy still alive?", or "How do you know it's not a woman!" ... I mean did you not get the point that "I love peanut butter!" Okay, I admit this was a lame example, but you get it!

I just can't wait till I get back!

Since I promised Raeshell that I will not blog about unhappy things, here's a random thought:

I think I was meant to be born in the 23rd century when the world will be equipped with biometric security systems. The whole "carry your card key" or "make sure you have your keys when you walk out of the door" is just not meant for me! With the biometric system in place, I will always have my finger, or eyes on me hee hee ... :)

Must love dogs

Guess who's back? ... reporting from Seattle!

If you've known me for more than 5 minutes, you definitely know about my fear of dogs, also termed as "cynophobia"! To avoid dogs, I'd cross streets (even if there were no crosswalks) or not take the elevator etc. Guess what? I am currently subletting from someone who has a medium-size dog! Not only that, I am absolutely in love with the dog!! He is the most adorable thing I have ever seen ... I can't believe that I am finally over my fear of dogs (well, not really but getting there). Last week, I was invited to walk the dog in a dog park where dogs are off the leash. I did go but i chickened out and hung out outside the park, yet very close to 4-5 dogs ... surprisingly enough I was not at all bothered by them. Yay!! This is definitely the most exciting thing that I got out of this internship. In my next entry, I'll update y'all on my housing situation ... although i'd rather not talk about it!

Stay tuned!

Quote of the day:

My colleague on the amount of comments in my program:
"A random novel must have more technical words than your program!"

:) ... sorry, this post was a bit geeky but  i thought that was funny!!

I have been spending a lot of time wrapping up here which basically means documentation ... documentation and more documentation! By the end of this week, i could totally come out with a "programming for dummies ... or somesuch"!

tick tick .. tick ... 5 more days!
